Great innovation Stuart

01:03:31
:-)

01:18:24
Will MS Teams kill human interaction in the office?

01:19:02
I totally agree @Andrew re: reduction in travel

01:19:55
I think business travel will change to only meet face to face if that is essential for success.

01:20:03
Agree Stuart

01:23:05
Agree Sami, Few of us were not tuned to work from home. And now we have trained ourselves to work from home. Now to go to higher efficiency we need some innovative ways...

01:23:31
Absolutely agree with Sam ….it's the leader's who create and embrace the new normal ….

01:25:41
Disagree with the all or nothing position. Certainly it has accelerated the possibility of working from home for all as a standing option for most businesses, the choice will need to be with the individuals.

01:26:11
Agree @Jeff

01:28:26
Agree Jeff, not for everyone or every role, probably the difference is, there will be more people and organisations working from home so we need to adapt and develop mechanisms to make this efficient

01:28:39
Agree @Jeff. It will never be all or nothing. It will add more choice to employers and employees. All can benefit from flexibility.

01:29:09
@Peter O, at least 50% of the knowledge workers I have spoken to in the last 3 months can’t wait to get back to the office for natural the social contact. But to be fair many are parents….

01:32:09
Agree @Sami Work from home has already been happening. Now it has accelerated for some of the functions.

01:32:24
C-19 has made organisations/industries that would never have even considered working from home have to consider it. A lawyer friend of mine had never worked a day from home and now his organisation have said that it is an option for anyone after they all return from work.

01:32:27
I'd be interested to know which role in each organisation is accountable for deciding on changes to the office environment and flexible working....

01:32:37
Not sure I would be rushing to invest in office space :-)

01:33:27
@Andrew - agreed re your lawyer friend. Key is the option…that will be transformative for many orgs

01:34:02
5g?

01:34:19
Lol - @stuart that is the sole reason I am with Telstra NBN, the failover to 4G built in.

01:34:36
@Stuart The NBN experience has to get a lot better. It has been stretched a bit.

01:34:48
A question to Andrew, Stuart and Sami - Traditionally an organisation based in Melbourne/Sydney have accepted talent from the local city. Are we now open to hiring talent from different cities and working remotely most of the time and may be some travel days per month ?

01:35:12
For the last 5 years I've been working in environments where 20% WFH was normal. I believe coming back from C19 it might be moving up to 40% in some spaces...

01:35:46
I wish we had the option to use NBN or our previous broadband service....

01:35:56
how are you finding staff productivity working from home.

01:36:06
Feel your pain. SpinTel 4G on Optus

01:37:32
re: the comments on commercial real estate, as someone who works for an investment company there are many subsets of commercial real estate, not all of which are forcast to suffer from longer term changes relating to remote working ie: hospitals and healthcare, industrial, non residential housing etc.

01:38:14
@Amany: In my organisation my team's performance, efficiency and productivity is at all time high WFH. It is an IT crowd though.

01:38:15
Good to know @Andrew that we are open to hire people from neighbouring cities. This will help decongestion of the cities… Yes few days travel to main office will help...

01:39:21
@Andrew, UiPath, what kinds of processes do you commonly automate? Backend system processes (ie:SysAdmin) ?

01:39:58
Where does the panel feel the Intranet or Digital Workplace plays a role in the “future workplace”?

01:39:59
As a people-centred communicator by trade and nature, forcing people to demo online forces much better and more considered communications and engagement. Clarity. Clarity.Clarity!

01:40:02
Or processes that feed into digital channels?

01:40:34
balanced WFH can certainly increase productivity, esp. with the right tech & culture..however, one should not underestimate the power of motviation and inspiration a real-life team environment can provide...

01:41:54
Agree @Andrew
